About Keith

I view the world as static events strung together by a concept called Time. Coding and Interactive media are both means making the static fluid. It is akin to bringing about life. I starting as a child seeking to be an inventor. My professional life is about taking the posiblites, the "vision" discovering componants, creating actionalble step and colescing it into reality. Seeing the word or code that I have put down on paper, moving about engaging with other produces a certain almost indiscrible joy. Take a look at my portfolio. Learn more about my adventures in coding, media and mobile development.

I spend my time creating and now coding. Read my blog the mobi life to explore my life as a coder. I like to teach to inspire and to build. In each, working on a team has been my approach. Whether its a feature-length movie or mentoring by camping or discussing ideas of the future of science and technology, working as a team has spawnd ideas, insights and friendships.

code is...

RELAXING: As I sat engaged in our cohort, I remembered my first coding language (Fortran) and wondered what had been so difficult about coding before. Putting lines of code on the screen, formatting them, building, fingers typing rhythmically was not only productive but soothing, satisfying. As line after line of code flowed from my hands my mind seemed to be at peace. No weariness or wondering how the worlds problems would be solved in fact the only problem taking my attention was being solved with each "musical" keystroke. There was a sense of oneness with the code. An interrelatedness. As when one transitions from learning to swim to forgetting one is under the water. There is a time when one fears the water and struggles against it. For me even floating required serious sculling to keep from drowning, because of my supposed body type, but now floating can be sustained without sculling at all. The shift was from struggle to rest from fear to peace. Coding has become similar, it represents rest. When problems arrise I've learned to not fear or stress because of them the tension blocks ones mind just like tensing causes one to sink. Instead it becomes a time to let the mind expand. An opportunity to solve problems not yet solved or to explore the neaunces and obscurites of the code base.
